Buck and Ned Oliver are twin brothers who, in their younger years, have a goal to set up a ranch in southwest Texas. This, the final book in the Diamond Bar-B Trilogy takes you, with the brothers, on their last mission as Texas Rangers. Lacking the necessary financial resources to develop a ranch on their own, Buck and Ned sign on with the Texas Rangers. If caught on the Mexican side of the border they, and the five Rangers they led, would be stood against a wall and gunned down by the Mexican Federal troops. Should they succeed, however, a rather large reward was there to split among the seven Rangers. Incentive enough, I reckon.
